1 in-class hours per weekClass Experience
Beginner - Intermediate Level
I'm all about making it happen—one recipe at a time. Each week, we’ll create a fun and delicious dessert or treat from scratch, building your skills and confidence as we go. I’ll walk you through each step, teaching you how to improve your food preparation techniques, practice food safety, and create treats you’ll be proud to share with your family. With every session, you’ll add a new recipe to your collection and take one more step toward becoming a confident, creative baker. I teach in a live video format that can, at times, be quick-moving. Some recipes take much longer than others, in the odd times we have extra time I like to answer general baking questions or have a chance for some time to learn more about each other. More often than not the time runs out very quickly, sometimes we may even go over time a bit. When possible I like to set up a camera for face-to-face discussions as well as an overhead camera to give a closer view of what I'm doing, what the mixing and measuring looks like and a clearer view of the measurements. Our class is live for 1 hour BUT please note this time does NOT include the cooling/baking time that will be needed for the recipe so please allow, in your schedule, the time needed for your creations to bake AFTER we've finished class when the created recipe is ready to go in the oven. Examples of our recipes: 'Your choice of berry' Muffins Double Chocolate Cookies New York Style Crumb Cake Soft Pretzels and ALWAYS your requests! I want to help you learn to bake the things YOU want to bake. - Ingredient lists and any specific prep requirements will be in the classroom at least 48 hours before class - while striving for a one-week prior timeline. **Recipe details are subject to change with notice provided always when possible.** - It is always recommended that 20 minutes before class you make sure you gather and set out all your ingredients, and prep all equipment that you'll need, this will make class so much more enjoyable for you, I promise! - Some recipes will require time outside of class time (besides always the bake time) for steps such as cooling in the fridge before baking. This will be noted in the 'ingredient lists and any specific prep requirements' section of that week so please make sure to read all information provided for that weeks recipe and prepare accordingly. SAFETY: There must be an adult near by to help answer in-person questions that I am unable to from my place online, and also to ensure safe use of equipment. There will be the need at times to use automatic mixers, knives, ovens and more. -- Please note ingredients can be adjustable for your needs. Please review the ingredients list and let me know ASAP if you need help adjusting ingredients, whether due to ingredient costs, local availability or medical/health reasons, I will always do my best to support your individual needs so you can join us and enjoy your creation after its made. -- Let’s mix, whisk, and roll into a new adventure every week!
