Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a Veterinary Science teacher who LOVES to learn. I enjoy teaching young children and helping them get excited about learning. For this age group, we will learn about nutrition, animals, science and many other fun topics. I also enjoy novel studies for upper elementary and middle school grades. I usually choose books that are not being studied widely but have a great plot with many elements to discuss.
I just finished my 4th Master's Degree (Agriculture, History, Education and Youth Development). I have a B.A. in English and an A.S. in Science with a PhD level certificate in Family and Community Development. I am now working on my EdD. Many of my classes are on-line which I love.
I have two children who are grown- one just finished veterinary school abroad and one is in the U.S. Army. We homeschooled, on-line schooled, private schooled and public schooled so I have knowledge of all types of learning. I have been married for 28 years. I also have custody of 3 nieces and a nephew so we are always busy!
I LOVE animals. We foster mama dogs and puppies for two local rescues and breed Toyger and Bengal cats. We have 4 large dogs and about 30 chickens as well. At school, I have a hedgehog, rabbits, snake, hamster and 3 goats.
