Welcome to the hilarious world of Bad Kitty by Nick Bruel! This adorable series is about a funny house-cat named Bad Kitty that often gets into all sorts of trouble at home. Each book is a new adventure and you never know what Bad Kitty will get into next. In this class we will read a different Bad Kitty book together in class each week. Students will have an equal opportunity to share reading aloud each book that will give them excellent reading fluency practice. As we are reading together we will also pause periodically to share our opinions and reactions about the situations Bad Kitty gets into. After class students will be provided with a comprehension workbook full of comprehension questions, key vocabulary words, and some extra fun bonus activities. Students must have their own copy of each book to participate in class but students do not need to have read any of the previous books to join the class on any given week. Following is a list of which books we will be reading each week: 1. Week of January 30: Bad Kitty Gets a Bath by Nick Bruel 2. Week of February 6: Happy Birthday, Bad Kitty by Nick Bruel 3. Week of February 13: Bad Kitty vs. Uncle Murray by Nick Bruel 4. Week of February 20: Bad Kitty Meets the Baby by Nick Bruel 5. Week of February 27: Bad Kitty for President by Nick Bruel 6. A Message From the Founder:
As a current 3rd grade public school teacher of 5 years and a current Outschool teacher, I know that students simply learn different today than they did only a few years ago. This knowledge has required me to find creative and fun ways to provide Common Core curriculum to students in a different and refreshing ways that fits how kids learn today. When designing classes for Teaching Done Different it is always my aim to help students learn rigorous material in such a fun way that they don't even realize they are learning.
