Bad Kitty for President: Campaign for Kitty

Follow Kitty on her journey through the election process as she aims to become president!  We will guide her campaign from becoming a candidate through election day and learn about each step along the way. We will establish a campaign, form a platform on important issues within Kitty's neighborhood, make our way through the primary process, and watch Kitty become a nominee. We will accompany Kitty on the campaign trail, identifying her electoral map and the role of the electoral college. We will discuss Kitty's performance as she participates in debates and learn about the importance of media as Kitty promotes her platform. 

We will also examine how Kitty's journey would differ if she were campaigning to become the leader of Australia or Brazil. We will determine if Kitty could ever become the Queen of England or become the ruler of Saudi Arabia. 

This class is designed to explore the election process within the United States through the use of the book Bad Kitty for President by Nick Bruel. We will discuss aspects of the election process and compare the process within the U.S. with that of other countries. We will NOT discuss any political beliefs, current presidential candidates or their campaigns.
