Love Bad Kitty? Love writing your own stories? Then this is the class for you! In this two week course we will explore the book Bad Kitty Drawn to Trouble by Nick Bruel. This book is written so that it walks the reader through creating a story and the elements to include when creating your own story. We will identify the terms presented in this book (protagonist, antagonist, theme, plot points, open ending, closed ending, author, illustrator, conflict) and find examples of these in other Bad Kitty books (learners will not need access to other Bad Kitty books). We will then create our own stories featuring Bad Kitty. Our first week of class will be spent reading Bad Kitty Drawn to Trouble and exploring the various elements of literature. During our first live meeting we will discuss the elements of literature featured in Bad Kitty Drawn to Trouble and brainstorm our own Bad Kitty adventures. Our second week will be spent creating our very own stories featuring Bad Kitty and we will share our stories during our second week live meeting. *Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is a day/time that you would like to see this class listed!
