Bacteria, Viruses, and the Immune System- Flexible Course

In this 4-week flexible course, students will learn about bacteria, parasites, fungi, and viruses. Students will analyze how the foreign invaders trigger the immune system. Students are encouraged to interact with their instructor and peers with engaging questions and interactive quizzes. Students will be taught with direct teacher-led instruction incorporating pedagogical approaches using interactive video lessons integrated with vocabulary key terms, pictures, and graphics to capture and retain the learner's attention. Learners will be directed to the Outschool Classroom dashboard to access weekly postings including weekly recordings that will be posted by 12 pm EST on Mondays, a weekly quiz will be uploaded that will need to be completed by Friday of each week.

Learners can ask questions and participate in weekly discussions via the Outschool Classroom dashboard and message their instructor. Students will receive individual feedback on their assignments from the instructor using the Outschool recording feature. Students are encouraged to reach out to the instructor with any comments or concerns anytime during the course. Students will be assigned a packet with questions and activities and are encouraged to complete it throughout the course and share their answers and drawings with their instructor and the online classroom. Students are not required to have any prior knowledge or skills.
