Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
Each class will begin with an educational game. Next we will review math, reading, and writing skills needed for elementary school classrooms. Activities will be tailored to the ages of students in the class. I'm happy to further tailor class to include requested skills. Students will work together and independently as they practice math and reading content. Skills will be presented in fun and interesting ways.

Weekly class focus examples:

1. Week of 8/27/24 - Topics:
Math - Addition facts and practice (grade level appropriate will include word problems as well as quickfacts)
Reading - Depending on the grade level of the students we will practice reading aloud, incorporating phonics and decoding skills as well as comprehension practice

2. Week of 9/3/24 - Topics: Math - Subtraction facts and practice (grade level appropriate will include word problems as well as quickfacts)
Writing - Depending on grade level we will practice letter formation and spelling/phonics as well as review of the genres (personal narrative, fiction/non fiction story, persuasive writing, How to, etc...)

3. Week of 9/10/24 - Topics: Math - Multiplication facts and practice (grade level appropriate will include word problems as well as quickfacts)
Reading - Depending on the grade level of the students we will practice reading aloud, incorporating phonics and decoding skills as well as comprehension practice
