Sometimes skills learned slip over the summertime! Let's review grammar, parts of speech, reading comprehension, and sentence composure AND learn some new vocab words to bring into the new school year! This is a 6-week sample of an entire year of 5th-6th grade language arts courses... but can be personalized to meet your child where they are developmentally. Three days a week will be in class, and then they will need to complete one lesson on their own before class meets again! -Each week...
Nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, articles, end marks, homophones, pronouns, dictionary skills (even if virtually done.), vocabulary & reading comprehension.
1 lesson must be done out of class and before the class meets again, this is to see if the child can do the work independently and shows the level of comprehension we are looking for! (Plus it lightly gets kiddos back into the habit of having homework responsibilities before school starts.) ... but don't tell them that! ;)
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Learning should be fun!
