Back to School: 1st Grade Review
Review the whole year of 1st grade! Core standards for math, reading, writing, phonics and vocabulary will be taught in every class. Science and/or Social Studies standards will also be included in each lesson.

Learners will be assessed throughout each lesson by teacher observation. Learners will be expected to complete all activities during each class meeting to help establish what is being taught. If a formal assessment is desired, I am happy to provide that for you upon request.Grading

US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Beginner Level
Let's review 1st grade :)! This class is ideal for children ages 5-8 who could use a review of 1st grade standards before starting 2nd grade, or an introduction to 1st grade curriculum. Learners should already be able to count and identify numbers to 100+, read very basic sight words (ex: the, is, he) and capable of writing a simple sentence. This class is designed using a full year of 1st grade curriculum to review the basics that are taught in 1st grade (grade 1). Reading, writing, math, science and/or social studies will be integrated into each lesson. Integrating these concepts often helps children to fully comprehend what is being taught. 31 short video lessons (10 min. or less) are provided allowing learners to watch, pause, and review each concept as needed. *Estimated Completion time of class- 3 weeks *Optional extension activities and resources will be provided upon request. *Messaging: Communication is encouraged throughout this course. Paper, pencil, crayons, markers and a white board and marker (white paper and marker/pencil will work in place of this). Some handouts will occasionally be needed for certain class sessions (Ex: a graph for our graphing lesson).
