What's included
1 live meeting
1 hrs 30 mins in-class hours per weekAssessment
At the end of every other class or so we will check in with each other and see how everyone is doing and if there are aspects of the game they want to experience more of or parts they do not enjoy as much so I can adapt to their needs! We do Stars and Wishes! Star - Something that another player did that you think was awesome! Wish - Something you hope will happen next time!Class Experience
***Beginner Friendly, no experience necessary to start playing!*** -----Ongoing Class Disclaimer----- Our adventure is always growing and expanding, however the multiverse is a strange place! Learners may drop in and out any time they need and new players may freely join! While your learner's knowledge experience and even their character may grow each week's story is self contained to easily allow new friends to participate! ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Back There Again!? Shadowy spiders, gloomy tree monsters and wretched goblinoids guard the path to the old mountain home of an exiled dwarven princess. Are you brave and skilled enough to restore the throne to the rightful heir, even if it means facing down a blazing Red Dragon!? Welcome to 'Back There Again!?' a homebrew D&D 5e game inspired by the wonderful adventures of JRR Tolkien's 'The Hobbit.' However, while the setting may appear familiar at first, I'm afraid the beautiful world of Inbetween Earth has become infested with unnatural aberrations from across the multiverse! Join me in this magical romp through the Darn Old Forest, over the Murky Mountains and to the Solitary Summit as we conquer the unpredictable realm of Inbetween Earth! Who knows, perhaps if we are lucky more than one world can be saved in the process! Each class meeting will consist of learning how to play DnD as needed and a rich story experience where each learner gets to contribute to the world and story we are telling as we playing together! Learners will be asked to share their ideas, opinions and contribute to the game to help the whole team successfully achieve their goals! RPGs offer a unique social experience for the players to problem solve, work together and build trust and relationships both in and out of the game experience! I'm looking forward to working with your learner soon and please send me any questions you may have! Details of what you need and require materials are listed below! ----------Adventuring Schedule---------- NOTE - As each group's journey unfolds there will be variations in exactly which session we are on. Learning Goals
Teamwork, teambuilding, problem solving, communicating with others, negotiating, managing difficult/stressful situations, cost/benefit analysis, risk/reward analysis, storytelling and much much more!
Other Details
Parental Guidance
There is combat, magic, and other violence within the game. Some situations may become stressful for certain learners. With my style of DMing I tend to keep most of the story light and fun, but adding tension and conflict create wonderful story telling moments for learners to explore and experiment with how to deal with these situations in a variety of ways. I also promise that even when things seem desperate and that fighting is the only option, crafty players may find a clever solution or work around even to the most dire of situations!
D&D Classroom Rules
By signing up for this class/D&D campaign you agree to the rules. Any rule breaking can result in learners getting put into the waiting room to reread the rules. These rules are in addition to all Outschool rules.
This is a cooperative RPG. Success is not determined by an individual feat, but rather the group as a whole.
- Be Respectful to Your Party Members & Dungeon Master!
- Keep the Actions of Your Character Appropriate for Your Age Group
- Listen to Everyone!
- Be Kind and Have Fun!

Roll a Die Website
Roll a Die Website may be used to roll a 20-sided dice as part of the game for our class. You do not need to sign up, enroll or do anything extra to use this resource and you may skip using it all together if you learner uses a physical dice. If you want a physical dice and don't have one many local game stores have tons of individual dice available for purchase for just a dollar or two. The best part is your student may be able to pick out a very special colorful dice that they like!
Supply List
Needed to play: - Character Sheet - 20 Sided Dice (d20) - Pencil/Pen Character Sheet - I will provide these to you digitally before class. I encourage you to print it out as I often find learners benefit from having a physical version of their Character Sheet in front of them so they can refer to it during the course of our game! 20 Sided Dice - Physical dice are encouraged. The 'Roll a Dice' website link (listed above) will be available for learners to use as well.
