I have worked in the field of education for more than 10 years. My expertise is in early childhood development. I have 8 years working as a nanny, babysitter, and childcare teacher.
Students should be ready to discuss, roleplay, and participate in class activities.
All materials will be provided in class. Please bring a pencil and paper to class.
3 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Some scenarios that will be discussed during class include; child behavior (tantrum, yelling, hitting), how to handle parent complaints or issues, and what to do in an emergency. While these topics can sometimes be difficult to discuss, they are important to being a well-prepared babysitter.
