This ongoing social club is for learners who are new to babysitting or are experienced sitters or care for younger siblings. Learners will share experiences, problem-solve, gain confidence, laugh and chat plus learn skills for success.
Class experience
Attention babysitters! This ongoing social class is a great opportunity to chat with and discuss and share your babysitting stories and experiences. We will talk all about your specific challenges and successes, answer questions, problem solve and learn how to prepare in advance and set the stage for success when babysitting! Did you know that babysitting a toddler is much different than babysitting a school-aged child? Have you thought about games and activities you could do with the kids...
Students will learn to socialize with peers, share experiences and offer solutions to various circumstances. Learners will learn tips and tools for babysitting, staying home alone or caring for younger siblings. Learners will learn to prepare in advance and set the stage for success when babysitting. Learners will learn age-appropriate games and activities when babysitting. Students will learn the importance of following routines and schedules when caring for others or themselves. Students will learn safety basics. Students will learn about journaling.
I am a certified babysitting instructor and the author of "The Ultimate Babysitting Course Manual"
A one-page babysitting journal entry sample will be provided along with a babysitter checklist.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
