I have 7 years experience living in Indonesia, including two years of intensive, full-time language study. I have studied language acquisition and linguistics as part of my degree in Intercultural Studies as well as during my time in Indonesia, and I bring a research-informed, linguistic perspective to language classes.
Learners are strongly encouraged to practice Indonesian outside of class in everyday situations around the house. For some crafts that require cutting the learner or parent will need to cut out the pieces of the craft before class in order to be ready.
1 file available upon enrollmentThis class will use printed pictures and craft print-outs related to the week's topic, which I will provide in the classroom at the beginning of each week. Many of the craft projects for this class require cutting with scissors. Generally learners will be asked to do the cutting before class for time's sake. Please use age-appropriate safety scissors and supervise your child's use of scissors; if you child is not ready to cut, you may cut their pieces out for them and let them complete the other steps of the craft.
