In this one-time science class, students will be introduced to the term adaptation and discuss specific adaptations that snakes have and how they allow snakes to thrive in a variety of environments. We will consider snake anatomy and behaviour and learners will be encouraged to make observations to better understand how snakes thrive. The class will involve an interactive countdown of Awesome Adaptations, including body shape, snake jaws, thermoregulation, and the five senses of snakes. ...
Students will learn the term adaptation and will be able to name 5 specific adaptations of snakes.
