Class Experience

In our Avengers sharing class we will:
*Show our favorite Avenger character (toy, picture, book etc.) and explain why we like them so much.
*I will share facts about their favorite to deepen their understanding of who that character is and why they are special.
*We will take a movement break featuring some Avengers Power Moves.
*Using a pre-printed worksheet, each student will draw their favorite character (you may choose to have your child complete this before class if they tend to draw more slowly.) I will read an Avengers story while they draw their own version of their character.(**I will not be teaching them to draw anything.**)
*We will practice Grace and Courtesy by taking turns sharing about our drawings.
*Depending on time left, we might play "Would you Rather" and talk about favorite stories or scenes from the Marvel book, cartoon or movie universe.
*We will say our goodbyes and (if time allows) offer each child a chance to talk/share about something that we did not cover in class.
Learning Goals
Students will get to expand their knowledge of Marvel characters.
Students will practice social skills like public speaking, listening to others and not interrupting.

Parental Guidance
As this is an Avengers class, there may be some discussion of "fighting" but I will steer the discussion away from violent descriptions. We can assume that if your child loves Marvel characters, that they are aware of how the characters act and are depicted. You know your child and the comfort levels of your family concerning Marvel, but this class is definitely created with the younger children in mind.
Supply List
Coloring tools (crayons, markers, colored pencils) of choice.
Printout of provided drawing sheet, or plain piece of paper.
**If possible, notify me of your child's chosen Avenger, at least a day before class, so that I may send you the appropriate drawing page file.** If not, I will post a blank character file for all access.
 1 file available upon enrollment

I have been a 3-6 teacher for 23 years and understand how to entertain and manage that age group.
I am also a HUGE Marvel fan having seen all of the movies multiple times, watched the cartoons, T.V. shows and read many of the comic books since childhood. I am so excited to offer an outlet for that Marvel fandom to the youngest children!
