Description
Class Experience
Fan fiction is a type of creative writing in which authors use the characters, settings, etc. from another creator for their own writing. It is a fun way for fans of a book, movie, or video game to interact with the story and characters and imagine their own scenarios. In this writing club, we will focus on the Nickelodeon show Avatar: The Last Airbender (although fans of The Legend of Korra are welcome, too!). Each week, I will go over a different type of fan fiction and give the students...
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Since this is a creative writing class, students may choose to write about mature concepts.
We will refer to Avatar but will not watch any movie clips during class due to copyright reasons.
