In this course, we will cover all things, Avatar: The Last Airbender! Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the most influential series ever, and we will cover it all. We will cover the moments that made us laugh, cry, and lose our minds in order to grow our love of the show. I will ask students to engage with one another to create a fun environment where we can do everything from debate to understanding the structure of a compelling story. Students will use analytical techniques to analyze the story and characters. Additionally, students will be able to work on their communication, listening, creativity, and public speaking skills. My main hope is that students have a blast talking with other like-minded people about their love of the Avatar the Last Airbender while growing their literary analysis skills. (Below is the first 5 weeks and what we will discuss) Week of April 1st: Season 1 pt. 1 (Analyzing the story, characters, and lore) Week of April 8th: Season 1 pt. 2 (Analyzing the story, characters, and lore) Week of April 15th: Season 2 pt. 1 (Analyzing the story, characters, and lore) Week of April 22nd: Season 2 pt. 2 (Analyzing the story, characters, and lore) Week of April 29th: Season 3 (Analyzing the story, characters, and lore) *Schedule subject to minor changes
Learning Goals
I will help students understand how to analyze Avatar: The Last Airbender in order to strengthen their critical thinking and literary analysis skills. It is so important for students to be able to comprehend stories and discuss them with others in subjects like History and English. Additionally, I will create an environment where students can feel comfortable expressing themselves and talking to other like-minded individuals. Most of all, I hope they have fun!

Parental Guidance
All of the content will be from Avatar: The Last Airbender. The clips we will watch in class will be taken directly from the show. Students will not be sent to any third party websites, and everything shown will be shared from my screen.
