Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will be shown a map of the regions where the teacher's pumpkin patch, flower, and leaf photographs were taken. 
Students will learn how to write acrostic, haiku, cinquain, and word bowl styles of poetry.
The teacher has a master's degree in Integrating Arts into the Curriculum and loves having a platform like Outschool to teach what she loves to enthusiastic students.
Day 1 Sunflower Art: -Watercolor or Heavy Duty Paper (8" x 10" or larger-perfect size for framing) A 9" x 12" canvas will also work for this project -Acrylic paint (black, brown, light green, dark green, light yellow, dark yellow, orange) -At least two paintbrushes-approx. one inch wide + a smaller brush -plate or palette for mixing -paper towel and water Day 2 Sunflower Acrostic Poem: A few pieces of paper or a writing journal, eraser, and a pencil Day 3 Leaves Art: -Real leaves collected in nature or leaf cut-out (teacher provided) watercolor paper -a tray of watercolor paints -black Sharpie permanent marker -water, paper towels -small and medium-sized paintbrushes - palette, or plate for mixing colors. Day 4 Leaves Haiku Poetry: A few pieces of paper or a writing journal, eraser, and a pencil Day 5 Sunrise In A Pumpkin Patch Art: -Acrylic or watercolor paper cut to 8" x 10" (a canvas this same size would be great too) -Acrylic paints (we will need pink, purple, orange, brown, green, yellow-or colors to mix and create these colors) -Small and medium-sized paintbrushes -Water, Paper towel, a paint smock Day 6 Pumpkin Patch Word Bowl Poetry: A few pieces of paper or a writing journal, eraser, and pencil
