This is a class for autistic students, lead by an autistic adult. Many autistics have one or more deep passionate interest that we love to talk about. This a place for students to do just that! This class is like a one time social group with the purpose of giving students an outlet to talk about what they love to people who understand how important it is to them even if they don't share the same interests. I will be moderating the discussion by asking questions and making sure each student gets a chance to speak and ask questions. This will also help students to develop the skills of letting other people have a chance to speak, and listening to what others are saying if even if they did not pick the current topic. Students are welcome to bring things to show to the class. Topics will vary depending on students interests so it is not possible for me to include a list of topics. I only ask that topics are not overly violent or sexual. Think of a PG 13 movie, if it wouldn't be in a PG 13 movie keep it out of class. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
