In this ongoing class students on the autism spectrum will gain independence by following a visual recipe to cook various meals using a microwave. They will also have the opportunity for social interactions with their peers.

Description
Class Experience
Students will practice: -Cooking skills -Microwave safety -How to follow a visual recipe -Fine motor skills -Social skills
A supply list will be sent at least a week before each class that includes the materials and utensils needed for class the following week.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will not be using a stove, oven, or knives during this class, however food removed from the microwave may be hot and parental guidance is needed to ensure that only microwave-safe materials are used. If your child has any food allergies or dietary restrictions please let me know so that substitutions can be made. Please check the ingredient list each week to ensure that they are safe for your child.
