Class experience
This is a weekly, ongoing, social art class for teens with autism or special needs. Each week learners will be challenged with a theme and encouraged to use their artistic abilities to draw, paint or sketch a design. Learners are encouraged to use any medium they are comfortable with. All teachers who will be running this class have a special education background, with many years experience teaching students with autism and special needs.
This class is designed to support the social needs of teens who have autism. Teachers who run this class all have a special education background and will also be working on social skills such as turn taking, speaking and listening skills.
Students will bring their own art supplies to class. Supplies may include paper, sketch pads, paints. colored pencils, markers, graphite, digital art materials etc.
