Class Experience
Students will gain valuable knowledge of the tools to get the part they want through a successful audition for theatrical and musical theatre productions. In this class we will cover pre-audition tools, the audition process, and industry standards. Topics covered will include monologue selection, song selection, resume formats, head shots, theatre vs. film auditions and theatrical resources. Students will learn how to present a 60 second monologue, how to select the appropriate song for each audition, students will learn theatre vocabulary, how to create a theatre resume, and confidence building techniques.
I have a M.A. degree in Musical Theatre and have taught auditioning techniques to aspiring actors and actresses many years. There is an art to becoming competent in auditioning that is not widely known.
