This one time acting class will be a mock audition followed by a discussion and scene break down, students will then get a second chance to read and play with the film/TV audition scene.
Class experience
This class will focus on practicing audition skills. We will be using an actual TV or Film audition scene. The first part of class will be a mock audition. Students should come prepared having worked on the assigned audition scene at home. Each student will get a chance one at a time to "audition" by reading the scene as they prepared it. The main goals of this class are for students to feel more comfortable auditioning and to work towards making strong, specific acting choices. While the focus is acting, students will also be working on their critical thinking skills as they analyze the scene, as well as taking ownership of their own voice, as they make acting choices that are uniquely their own.
