Beginner - Intermediate Level
With auditions for school plays and musicals just around the corner, Audition Bootcamp is the perfect place to polish and perfect auditions and learn how to become a casting panel’s dream! This class is an opportunity for students to work with experienced actor and director, Katie Ludlow, to prepare the perfect audition and learn what skills can help them prepare excellent auditions in the future. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THIS COURSE Students will learn how to compile the most professional auditions they can. Bootcamp will end with mock auditions, where learners will have the chance to get feedback on their personal audition material and how they can continue to prepare moving forward. Each enrollment also comes with one free half hour private session to work on audition materials one-on-one. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW - Students are encouraged to bring information about their next audition to work toward. We'll use a pretend audition notice as an example. For those who don’t have details for their next audition but still want to practice their preparation and gain new auditioning skills, they're encouraged to utilize the pretend audition notice during our boot camp. - Students will be asked to find and provide their own audition materials. Instructor guidance and/or assistance may be requested in this area. - Registration includes a thirty-minute private session with the instructor, tailored to your needs. You can use this time to ask questions, receive one-on-one critiques for your auditions, get help finding audition material, or address any other areas where you need assistance. - Audition Bootcamp ends with a mock audition session. During this session, students have the opportunity to observe other performers, practice the audition skills they've learned, and receive constructive feedback on their auditions to guide their ongoing preparation. - Audition Bootcamp is primarily focused on musical theater auditions, but learners auditioning for film, commercials, or straight plays are encouraged to join as well! Just inform the instructor about your specific goals, and I'll make sure to include information tailored to your niche. - Current students of Katie’s can get a discount for Audition Bootcamp by leaving a rating and review on their current classes. Message Katie for more information.
