This week-long bootcamp is the perfect place to polish and perfect your audition and learn how to become a casting panel’s dream! Each enrollment also comes with one free half hour private session to work on audition materials one-on-one.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
5 lessons//1 Week
 Week 1
Lesson 1
Knowing What to Prepare
Students will discuss how to find the best audition pieces, including what directors DO and DON’T want to see in the pieces they choose. Sign ups for private sessions will open, and students will be asked to find materials for their mock auditions.
Lesson 2
Resumes and Portfolios
Students will learn how to compile professional resumes, as well as discuss headshots, sheet music, and other physical materials that may be needed for auditions. First day of private sessions!
Lesson 3
Impress Without Stress
Students will learn insider tips and tricks that will make them stand out to casting directors. Slating, audition etiquette and structure, and dealing with audition nerves will also be discussed. Private sessions continue!
Lesson 4
Cold Reads and Callbacks
Students will learn how to maximize their cold reading skills. Callbacks will also be discussed. Any loose ends from the week will be tied up here. Last day of private sessions!
Lesson 5
Mock Auditions!
To practice their new audition skills and gain confidence, students will perform their finished auditions for the group as well as give written feedback to peers (reviewed by instructor before being passed out). Note that critiques from peers and the instructor will be sent the day after bootcamp’s conclusion.
  • Day One Objectives: - Explore strategies for selecting audition materials that will capture the attention of directors - Understand what casting teams are looking for - Sign up for private sessions Day Two Objectives: - Learn the key components and format of an effective acting resume - Understand what elements are required of an audition headshot - Discuss physical materials required for auditions Day Three Objectives: - Master the art of introducing oneself through slating during auditions - Understand audition etiquette and structure - Develop techniques for presenting oneself confidently and professionally during auditions Day Four Objectives: - Explore techniques for successful cold readings - Understand the structure of a typical call back - Tie up any loose ends from the week Day Five Objectives: - Perform mock audition - Provide feedback for peers based on their auditions
I have significant experience helping students build strong acting skills. I was an assistant director and acting coach at my local high school for three years, where I aided students in their performance, audition, and competition preparations. I am currently attending Utah State University where I am majoring in Theater Education.
Homework Offered
Day 1: Students will be asked to find materials for their mock auditions (to be performed Day 5) and sign up for a private session (due before Day 4) Day 2: Students will be asked to compile a resume with a headshot (to be turned in before Day 5) Day 3: No homework! Day 4: No homework! Day 5: Students will be asked to provide feedback for their peers' mock auditions (to be done and turned in during class)
