It's natural to have emotions about what you experience in your everyday, day-to-day life. Sometimes, writing about what we feel helps us artistically express ourselves. In this one-time, Thanksgiving-themed class, students will first learn about the pros of journaling, including how it can affect their mood and their outlook of the world. They will then explore the ideas of mindfulness and gratitude, including the definitions and how they may unconsciously participate in it. Lastly, students...
Students will learn the importance of expressing gratitude and will walk away with new mindfulness techniques they can use to journal.
As a licensed counselor, I have experience working with children and helping them learn how to discuss their feelings.
- One pen and two sheets of paper.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
