Let's Write a letter to Santa Claus at the North Pole! Did you know there are 17 steps to writing a letter to Santa? Did you know that a well-organized and well-written letter is a fun and important skill to learn? Writing a letter to Santa is a super fun Christmas tradition. Letter writing is an important skill to learn as there are many situations in life that require you to write a letter. Some people write letters to keep in touch with family or friends, others have pen pals or even...
To inspire a love for writing letters. To learn the steps to write a letter. To learn how to mind map and organize thoughts to be prepared. To encourage spelling and grammar skills. To learn how to address an envelope. To learn about postal service workers.
Students are encouraged to complete their letters and have their parents send the letter in the mail.
Materials Needed - Pencil, Pen, Paper, Envelope, Stamp Optional - stickers, markers, pencil crayons for decorating the card or letter.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
