I have previously planned and taught a unit plan with a similar theme in a public school (for grades 1 and 2) . I have done comprehensive research to provide students with factual information. None of the course content is my opinion, these are facts I have learned from reputable sources... I use my expertise as an Elementary teacher to make this information digestible and fun for young learners. I am an animal lover and I have had a variety of pets in my life time including: cats, dogs, fish, turtles and a hermit crab. The purpose of this course is to explore the field of veterinary medicine in a fun and social setting. Please note that I am not providing medical advice to you or your pet but instead I am sharing information provided by competent authorities. If you need guidance in caring for your animals, please seek advice from a certified veterinarian. I will not be discussing any related topics which may be considered controversial or alarming: death, euthanasia or the specifics of any surgery or procedure. Should these topics come up, I will re-direct the learners to the course work.
No additional supplies needed.
