Students will learn the basics of polymers and monomers. We will learn what they are, how they function, and how the world has changed because of them. We will look at the discovery of polymers and what that led to for America. Class will begin with a short video followed by a discussion about polymers. Students will encouraged to chime in with what they know and any questions that they may have. Kids will interact with each other and myself throughout the lesson as we then dive into making...
Students will learn to fill out a lab report and the basic steps of the scientific method. They will be able to define a polymer and a monomer. They will also be able to understand basic chemical reactions.
