Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I enjoy teaching literature classes that make learning the greats fun and interesting. I love teaching Shakespeare and creative writing. I also enjoy home-based science classes. I have been in education for years. I began teaching early childhood education in the school system in San Diego. I moved on to teach middle grade children. Most recently, I worked as a Children's Director and oversaw the entire K-5th program. I have also taught in many home school co-ops, where I worked with al age groups. I have a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in British literature. I believe that kids learn thru all different types of media. It is important to remember that not every child learns the same way. By making education fun and engaging, kids will be excited to learn! When I am not spending time with my own two kiddos hiking or swimming, I am usually playing my cello or walking my Irish wolfhound. He is as big as a small pony!
