In this course, students will work through the basics of biology with a class discussion and several hands on projects. Students will learn: Scientific method Organisms Organ systems Cells Cell structure Basic cell function Students will work together to correctly label the parts of a cell. They will also work together to name the different organ systems in the body and list their basic function. Worksheets will be provided. Students will learn the functions of cells, organisms, and organ systems. They will learn how cell, and organ systems work together to maintain the body. Students will be able to identify the different parts of a cell and their function. Students will be able to identify an organism and its characteristics.Students will be able to identify the different organ systems and their purpose.
