Astronomy Explorers Club

In this course, we will learn about different aspects of earth and space.  We will have a discussion based on the daily topic through a shared screen presentation. Students will be able to work on hands-on projects and have completed work that can be used in a learning portfolio.  Unit will end with a game and quiz.

Week of 7/31: Mission 1 - Our Solar System
Week of 8/7:  Mission 2 - Inner Planets
Week of 8/14: Mission 3 - Outer Plantes
Week of 8/21: Mission 4 - Sun, Moon - Eclipse and Phases
Week of 8/28: Mission 5 - Asteroids, Meteors, & Dwarf Planets

We will review a PowerPoint, visit the NASA app to watch real time topics from our lesson, and have discussion based on the mission of the day.

If the class minimum is not met, class will continue but may not take the entire class time frame.

This is an inclusive class in which students of all abilities are welcome. If a student is unable to communicate verbally they are welcome to use the chat. If your student has any other needs that require accommodations please let me know and we will work develop a way for your learner to participate in a way that they are able.
