Description

Class Experience

In this three-day-long space camp learners will get a good foundational understanding of astronomy and the universe. Over three days we will cover: 

Day 1: Colonization -- Are we able to colonize other worlds? What are some of the problems of colonizing Mars? Let's uncover these answers as we explore what it might take to effectively colonize our solar system and beyond. 

Day 2: The Night Sky -- You might already know a few things about our night sky, like where the major constellations are...

Learners will explore some advanced topics in space science, including how to find deep sky objects and the zodiac constellations in the sky, ideas about colonization of space, and what science has to say about alien life in the cosmos.

Natasha has taught astronomy to learners from age 3 and up for 7 years through science outreach programs and activities. She studies science and focuses on physics, astronomy, and Earth science, and has been an amateur astronomer since she was a young learner herself!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I will assess learners upon request.

3 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
