Asking questions that are 14 billion years in the making. Jump into Astronomy Camp and answer the questions astronomers have been asking for centuries about what lies in the night sky! This camp is structured to consist of lectures via slideshows and have ample time provided to ask and answer questions. Each lesson has further learning opportunities in the form of additional videos, links to national observatory image archives, and articles from NASA and other related websites. Day 1: The...
Students will learn how our model and understanding of the universe has changed over time, how our solar system was formed and what can be learned from studying it, how stars are formed, and how stars shape space around them.
This class will not have homework assignments, but optional supplemental videos and resources will be provided for further reading and learning.
Any optional supplemental materials will be provided with links.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
