Students will learn the basic definition of an astronaut, how astronauts go to the bathroom in space, and why they left some of their poop on the moon. Each student will have the opportunity for show and tell. Show and tell for this class can be any space related toy, book, craft, or drawing. We will read together the book, Ready for Lift Off!, which teaches the items that astronauts need to survive in space. The students will write a list of the items that astronauts need. They will also draw a moon, craters, and label the areas on the moon where human poop remains can be found. Hello from the U.S.A.! Specializing in Quilling and Science classes, I offer a variety of one-time, multi-day, and ongoing classes. Graduating college with a degree in Early Childhood Education has allowed me to teach children, ages 4-12. My master's is in Counseling. I believe that the combination of my bachelor's and master's work, as well as my soft skills make me a patient, kind, and loving teacher.
The emotional well-being of students always comes first. I strive to give my learners an atmosphere where learning feels comfortable and never stressful. My experience as a mother of three has taught me much about how children learn best. I strive to provide exactly that perfect learning atmosphere in my online classes.
My strength areas are:
-Cross-Cultural Communication:
Having lived and traveled extensively abroad, I enjoy meeting and teaching students all over the world!
-S.T.E.A.M.:
I'm very passionate about S.T.E.A.M. education, especially Science and Art! These subjects are incorporated often into my classes.
-Scaffolding:
I constantly evaluate the progress of my students and adjust my teaching to meet their needs.
-Student Encouragement:
Celebrating wins with students is my delight! I want them to know that I am happy to help them learn and I want them to succeed!
My hobbies include kayaking, swimming, and quilling paper art. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family at Lake Hartwell, Georgia, U.S.A., where I live with my husband, three children, and our bordoodle Princess. I hope to teach your learner soon!
