Astronaut Life on the International Space Station (ISS)
Class experience
US Grade 2 - 5
How does the solar system hold up its pants??? ***with an ASTEROID BELT!!!*** 😂 The solar system is one of my favorite things to talk about, especially with children! I have found the enthusiasm with this subject to be contagious, and nothing thrills me more than a student that gets excited about outer space. No matter how old I get, I still love discovering new things about it. Luckily for all of us, there seems to be a brand new discovery or event every single day! In this class, we will...
My main goal as a teacher is always to launch a lifetime of space exploration and curiosity for my students, and inspire an enthusiasm in them to learn more about what exists beyond Earth. In this class, students will learn how the International Space Station was built and continues to function over 24 years later! They will discover the unique way the astronauts get to perform their normal everyday tasks, all while floating around in microgravity. My favorite part about this class is getting to hear what the students think of these unconventional methods. I want to motivate an excitement and passion for space, and even the possibility of becoming an astronaut one day! Blast off on this space adventure with me!!
I have 12 years experience as a science teacher, with a focus on space studies. I love outer space, and no matter how old I get, I still enjoy discovering new things about it. Space exploration is one of the most fascinating topics to me, and I have found the enthusiasm with this subject is contagious! 😄
