*Astrological Horoscope Hybrid Dragons! Drawing Gemini to Virgo: Sketch Series 2

If your Astrological Sign was interpreted into a Dragon or Creature, what might it look like? We will be Sketching Hybrid Dragons based on Gemini, Cancer, Leo and Virgo! All other Astrological signs are available in Series #1 and #3.

Class Experience

In this Self-Paced course, students will learn to sketch 4 Hybrid Dragons, based on the Astrological Zodiac signs listed below. There are 3 different Series of this course, each with 4 different zodiac based dragons. Each lesson will have audio and video, along with step by step guides that are broken down into small segments. 

Note: Astrological/Zodiac signs will be explored from a cultural or historical perspective, not as fact. The approach is based on mainstream science, culture, or history, rather than promoting these topics as scientific truth or as part of a supernatural worldview.  

There are no Live meetings.

This class uses Nearpod.

Students may post their work via the conversation tab in OutSchool, where the teacher will be able to help students and send advice if needed.

Each lesson will be focused on 1 different dragon.

Lesson #1
We will sketch a Gemini based dragon. 

Lesson #2
We will sketch a Cancer based dragon. 

Lesson #3
We will sketch a Leo based dragon.

Lesson #4
We will sketch a Virgo based dragon.

Students will need:
pencil
eraser
fine point black marker (like a Copic 0.1 or 0.5)
optional coloring materials

You may work digitally if you prefer.

*Lori King (Ms. Lori - She/Her) is a graduate of F.I.T in NYC. She worked in different areas of the design industry since 1991, from illustration, pattern making, garment construction to designing full story boards for buyers. She tutored Fashion Illustration for a few years to help other students complete their professional portfolios before their interviews. Lori is also a Polymer Clay artist, Graphic Designer and Illustrator.

*M Hopkins (Teacher M - They/Them) is a professional, published artist who creates comics and illustrations with a love for color theory! When they are not drawing, they can be found on the floor playing with their cat, Tuesday. BFA in Sequential Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design.

*Appiffany Joiner-McNeil (Mrs. Appiffany or Mrs. AJ - She/Her) Graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology, Cum Laude. She holds a Masters of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Arts in Teaching. 
She brings STEM and psychology to the platform, with science projects, labs, and experiments.
As a member of the Society for Science, she will further extend students' curiosity into the STEM field without the restrictions of specific curriculums.

*Rori VanMaanen (Teacher Rori - They/Them)
As an alumni of Cleveland Institute of Art with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Game Design they have a passion for interactive art and how they can push the boundaries of what interactive art means. Having been a visual arts assistant at their old high school Interlochen Arts Academy during the summers, teaching others and seeing the joy in what people create has motivated Rori to pursue teaching. In their free time Rori likes to aquascape. Creating aquariums of any variety of sizes and making little beautiful habitats for their favorite type of fish a Betta fish, they currently have 2 bettas and 4 tanks.

*Kierra Sullivan (Ms. Kierra - She/Her) is an illustrator, small business owner, and education professional here to teach you all about the joys of making art! She has a Bachelor's degree from the Savannah College of Art & Design, and her illustrations have been featured in card decks, art anthologies, and more.

*Samantha Ceccopieri (Miss C - She/Her) is an art instructor who would love to teach you how to take your art to the next level. She holds a Bachelors in Art Education from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and is a certified Art Teacher in the state of Texas. He has taught art, judged art competitions for the past 3 years. Samantha is bilingual as well, speaking Spanish and English fluently! Her goal is to help you increase your art skills through the teaching of the elements and principles of art, which are key to understanding how art works. Through that understanding you can be confident that you can draw anything you want!
