Description
Class Experience
In this class we will learn and practice the American Sign Language signs for 10 different animals. We will look at pictures of animals and see if we can find out why the sign for the animal is what it is and we will practice it. We will also play and act like the animal while signing the sign. There is no prior knowledge or ASL experience needed and students will have the opportunity to learn the sign for their favorite animal. This class will be very interactive and laid back with the...
Students will have exposure to using ASL to express themselves and learn something they are interested in. Students will learn simple animal signs and connect the sign to the animal.
I have almost 20 years of experience using ASL and 10 years teaching it to multiple age groups. I have experience in the Deaf community as well as Deaf friends.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
