Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
Beginner Level
Welcome to my beginner ASL class! This is a fun and highly interactive, ongoing class designed to teach students ASL vocabulary and simple phrases. Each week will cover a new topic of vocabulary and every student can practice putting words into simple sentences. Lesson topics will be posted each week and may include fingerspelling, family words, numbers, letters, question words, food, colors, animals, emotions and more. An ASL alphabet poster is attached for students to print at home. Students can practice signing with me, as well as each other. If needed, I will provide a link to helpful videos and assign flashcards to help students retain their signs.
