Description
Class Experience
Students will be taught how to fingerspell the ASL alphabet. They will also be given the skills to continuously improve their ability through practice and regular challenges.
I have been teaching ASL in-person to students of all ages for more than 25 years, and in online classrooms for more than 2 years. I have received recognition and awards for Teaching ASL by the Association of American Educators Foundation, as well as earning the title of “ASL Teacher of the Year” from Beach Cities Unified District, 1997-1999, 2001 and 2003.
All materials will be provided by the teacher. Students will want to print some of the materials that will be posted.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will self-assess during the final week of the course.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
Appropriate for all ages.
