Join us for this weekly class learning both American Sign Language and Spanish in a playful encouraging "circle time" environment. We will have fun learning in both languages with songs, games, and a lot of encouraging interaction. This class will be taught in English, Spanish & ASL sometimes simultaneously. If your learner knows some Spanish/ASL, this class will be a good fit. If your learner doesn't know any Spanish/ASL , this class is a good fit. All levels are welcomed and interaction and conversation will be based on the level of each child individually. Skills to be learned: The letters ABC, numbers 1-5, practicing ages, colors, animals, and learn the basic greetings of how to introduce ourselves in both Spanish and ASL. We will learn & sing songs in Spanish and begin with ASL Finger warmups. I do require that the camera is on so I can help them with proper ASL technique. I am so excited to meet your child and have fun introducing them to the adventures of learning languages!

Hello! My name is Miss Crystal & I'm excited to meet you and your learner.
I have been working with children for almost 20 years, many of those years focusing on students with cognitive and developmental disabilities. I received my Bachelors degree in Language Education and have taught all ages from Kindergarten to 12th grade at a brick and mortar school. There I taught a wide variety of subjects from the basics to art & music.
I am fluent in Spanish and ASL and honed my skills in the Dominican Republic where I lived for the last 10 years. There I taught American Sign Language to the deaf community and their friends & family. I also taught English as a foreign language at an International School in the Dominican Republic along with teaching Chinese students online with VIPKID.
I am a firm believer in teaching children languages and taught my own son both Spanish & ASL from infancy and I can see how much being multi-lingual has benefited him in his continued learning and his adult life.
In my classroom I like to teach skills in an easy to understand and friendly way, keeping it fun and interactive. I love teaching subjects that I'm passionate about, such as ASL, Spanish, travel, art history, geography, and singing. Come join me in making learning fun & exciting for your little learner!
