We will be getting together as an ASL Club to strengthen your ASL skills. This class is for students who already have some ASL skills or are getting ready to start learning ASL. During our ASL Club time, we will be chatting and making friends with other students who are learning ASL. We will also be able to decide during class if we just want to hang out and socialize in ASL or if we would like to play one of my many ASL games.

Here are just some of the ASL games that we can choose to play. Please remember that I add to these on a regular basis.

Florida Teaching Certificate in Foreign Language
I am a High School American Sign Language Teacher in Florida. I've been teaching since 2008 and working in the education field since 2001.

I have a Bachelor Degree in Education K-6 from the University of West Florida.

I’m a certified teacher in the state of Florida and currently hold certifications in:
1. Deaf/ Hard of Hearing K-12
2. ASL Endorsement
3. Elementary Education K-6
4. ESOL Endorsement

I have been working in education since 2001 when I started subbing as a teacher’s aides as I worked my way through college while raising two kids of my own.

I owned, directed, and taught in my own preschool/daycare facility. I sold my business in 2016 because I missed doing what I truly love, and that’s teaching!

I started teaching high school ASL in a brick and mortar school in 2021. I feel like I’ve truly found my place in the world.
I am Hard of Hearing and part of the Deaf community.

I like to have positive energy in the classroom and in life. I believe that everyone can have fun and learn at the same time.
