Beginner Level
This self-paced class allows you to learn American Sign Language vocabulary as you prepare snacks and meals in the kitchen. Explore different recipes as you engage in these hands-on learning experiences. Learn more ASL signs as with related songs. Classes range from 15-25 minutes. Experience ASL through detailed explanations of hand signs and repetition. It is my joy to share ASL as a second language and to help bridge the gap between hearing and Deaf communities. Learning Needs
ASL helps students with multiple learning needs by reinforcing vocabulary. Research has shown incorporating sign language with spoken language improves comprehension, expression, and communication for special education learners.
Parental Guidance
Some recipes may require parental assistance if using an oven, knife, or food processor. Always ask parents for permission to use these items. Follow instructions carefully if you are preparing food with me.

I have taught Little Signers ASL to preschool and elementary students over the past 10 years. I have a Masters in Education with a certification in K-6th, biology, and earth science. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an Environmental Studies minor. I am a former public school teacher of 5 yrs and homeschool teacher of 10 yrs. I completed ASL I, II, III, & V in college and interpret for a Deaf family in church. I am also a 200 hr certified Yoga Teacher with additional certifications in Kids Yoga, Mommy Me Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga. In addition to teaching on Outschool, I teach a weekly live online Little Signers class.
