This class will help children better understand the concept of colors; improve classification skills and provide a fun environment for learning basic signs for colors and other fun words.
I am a certified ‘Time to Sign’ ASL instructor with more than 15 years experience, but I don't teach American Sign Language (ASL). I use ASL to teach ‘key word’ signing. My passion is combining the many components of ASL into my curriculum to promote early literacy, expand alphabet knowledge, improve early math skills and enhance social/emotional development of young learners. My classes are designed to provide engaging sign and play activities that encourage curiosity and exploration. When children are playing, laughing, and smiling, they are learning!
No homework required; however, using ASL concept cards for a few minutes throughout the month will help children improve their classification and signing skills. The coloring pages are a fun activity that can be used as an at home assessment tool.
