Discover the exciting world of ponds! Learn American Sign Language vocabulary for the animals that live in and around pond habitats. Sign the song "5 Little Ducks". Students need no prior experience or knowledge. I'll use hands-on props to maintain student interest and attention. I'll show and explain hand signs and repeat for greater retention. Class length is 27 mins. It is my joy to integrate science and ASL. Learn ASL as a second language and to help bridge the gap between hearing and Deaf communities. Come sign with me!

Learning Needs
ASL helps students with ADHD and autism by reinforcing vocabulary. Research has shown incorporating sign language with spoken language improves comprehension, expression, and communication for special education learners.

I have taught Little Signers ASL to preschool, elementary, and middle school students over the past 10 years. I have a Masters in Education with a certification in K-6th, biology, and earth science. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an Environmental Studies minor. I am a former public school teacher of 5 yrs and homeschool teacher of 10 yrs. I completed ASL I, II, III, & V in college and interpret for a Deaf family in church. I am also a 200 hr certified Yoga Teacher with additional certifications in Kids Yoga, Mommy Me Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga.
