Interpreting a book is a great way to learn American Sign Language! There is so much rich vocabulary in book. I'll read Debra Frasier's "On the Day You Were Born", and we'll signn it together one page at a time. This class is 25 mins. Students need no prior experience or knowledge. Experience ASL vocabulary through detailed explanations of hand signs and repetition. Come celebrate the special person that you are as we sign together! Come sign with me!

Learning Needs
Research has shown incorporating sign language with spoken language improves comprehension, expression, and communication for students with ADHD and autism. ASL increases vocabulary and retention with its kinesthetic and tactile experience.

I have taught Little Signers ASL to preschool and elementary students over the past 10 years. I have a Masters in Education with a certification in K-6th, biology, and earth science. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an Environmental Studies minor. I am a former public school teacher of 5 yrs and homeschool teacher of 10 yrs. I completed ASL I, II, III, & V in college and interpret for a Deaf family in church. I am also a 200 hr certified Yoga Teacher with additional certifications in Kids Yoga, Mommy Me Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga. In addition to teaching on Outschool, I teach a weekly live online Little Signers class.
