Learn American Sign Language vocabulary as you learn about the life and accomplishments of one of America's most famous pioneers, Johnny Appleseed. Learn how Johnny Appleseed, as a nurseryman and folk hero, planted apple orchards across the American frontier in the early 1800s. Students need no prior experience or knowledge. Experience ASL through detailed explanations of hand signs and repetition. Class is 19 minutes. It is my joy to share ASL as a second language and to help bridge the gap between hearing and Deaf communities. Come sign with me!

ASL helps students with multiple learning needs by reinforcing vocabulary. Research has shown incorporating sign language with spoken language improves comprehension, expression, and communication for special education learners.

I have taught Little Signers ASL to preschool and elementary students since 2014. I have a Masters in Education with a certification in K-6th, biology, and earth science. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an Environmental Studies minor. I am a former public school teacher of 5 yrs and homeschool teacher of 10 yrs. I completed ASL I, II, III, & V in college and interpret for a Deaf family in church. I am also a 200 hr certified Yoga Teacher with additional certifications in Kids Yoga, Mommy Me Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga. I've taught ASL in Kids Yoga, Baby Toddler Me Yoga, and Baby Connections.
