Class experience
This is Part 2 of my Musical Signing Series. Although experience in Sign Language is not required, students have an advantage when they are familiar with the ASL alphabet. Students are encouraged to complete Part 1 before enrolling in Part 2, but it is not required. Through videos, demonstration, games and participation, students will be introduced to the art of Musical ASL. I have been teaching ASL in-person to students of all ages for more than 25 years, and in online classrooms for more than 2 years. I have received recognition and awards for Teaching ASL by the Association of American Educators Foundation, as well as earning the title of “ASL Teacher of the Year” from Beach Cities Unified District, 1997-1999, 2001 and 2003.
Students should arrive to class with printouts of all attachments from the classroom message board.

I will be using a self-created Quizlet set during class to teach lyrics to the current song. The link to the Quizlet set will be posted to the classroom message board after the chosen song has been revealed, but a Quizlet user account is not required to access the Quizlet set. Amazon Music will be used to play songs in the background from an Alexa device on the teacher's end.
