Description

Class Experience

Students will learn ASL grammar
Students will learn the importance of facial expression, body movement and mouth morphemes
Students will learn the basic form for ASL glossing
Students will learn to use classifiers and signing V to convey stories in ASL
Students will prepare introduction, personal narrative and fairy tale in ASL
I have been an ASL interpreter in personal and educational settings.  I have a degree in Deaf Education and have taught preschool deaf children in a self contained class and interpreted for mainstreamed students at the elementary and college levels. I have been teaching Beginning ASL classes on Outschool for one year and taught Level 1 and Level 2 ASL classes at a small private college. 
Students will be required to prepare for their presentation projects outside of class time.
