Prerequisite: Must have taken a Beginning ASL class with me OR have a working ASL vocabulary of at least 150 words, be able to count to 100 in ASL and effectively fingerspell. I have been an ASL interpreter in personal and educational settings. I have a degree in Deaf Education and have taught preschool deaf children in a self contained class and interpreted for mainstreamed students at the elementary and college levels. I have been teaching Beginning ASL classes on Outschool for one year and taught Level 1 and Level 2 ASL classes at a small private college.
Students will be required to prepare for their presentation projects outside of class time.
