We will be learning the American Sign Language signs for various animals. I will model the signs for the students and all students will form the sign on their own. I will observe student's signs, give immediate feedback, and help them to form each sign correctly. I will also use a slideshow presentation that will show the English name of the animal, a picture of the animal, and written instructions to form the sign. As time allows, we will play some group games to review the signs we have...
I have always loved ASL. I took a course with my family as a child. I took two years for my language credit in high school. I also took a semester in college.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
