Class Experience

This is an introductory class. No prior knowledge needed. During this 3-day class students will learn the following:

•	American Sign Language Manual Alphabet
•	Numbers 1-30 and Skip Counting
•	The Five Parameters
•	Receptive and Expressive Skills
•	How to introduce themselves and how to fingerspell their names and classmates names 

Every class will begin with hand stretches. Also, a new vocabulary list will be issued each day.

Day 1: Introductions, Manual Alphabet, Proper Placement of Hand...

        •       Build a foundation for learning American Sign Language
	•	Learn the American Sign Language Manual Alphabet
	•	Learn to sign numbers 1-30
	•	Learn some basic signs and greetings
        •	Learn how to Fingerspell their name

Homework will consist of posting written and video assignments to their digital journal using Seesaw.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Seesaw

2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
